Is Neon Abyss a good game to play on Windows? Yes, if you have a joystick controller 😄
This article is in English.
TL;DR
IMO, Neon Abyss is a quite-fun game to play on Windows, if you have a joystick controller. A joystick makes everything feel different and more enjoyable.

Introduction
Prior to making this short review, I have reviewed this game before. Previously, I claimed that this is quite hard to play, if you didn't have any joystick controller, as in using Mouse and Keyboard only to control the game. I also assumed that using a controller would probably make the experience better. So... Is it? Prior to read this short review, you could watch the trailer to the game here:

Game Modes and Areas
Modes
The only mode available here is just the main story itself. Aside, there are three difficulties available: Easy, Normal, and Hard.
Areas
There are various areas or "floors" in this game. You could move from floor to floor by using an elevator. More explanation listed below:
- Office. I still have no idea on what purpose this floor is for...
- The Bar. Here you could:
- Change game mode, whether to Easy or Normal or Hard.
- Trade your game for an upgrade.
- Change your character.
- Dance 🤷🏻♂️
- Start playing the game again.
- Basement. Here you could change items that you currently use with other items in your repository.
- Lab. I also have no idea on what aim floor is for, but seeing all of these monsters here, probably this is to "keep a copy or freeze" of all monsters available on the game.
Short Review
Game Play
So... As I've explained above, I assumed that using a joystick controller would probably make the experience much better... And my assumption is correct. I was finally able to purchase one, and the experience is so-so-so-so much better. I could aim at the enemy better, move better, and more. Even though I played in "Easy" level, it's so much fun rather than using a keyboard and mouse to control the character.
Here I have recorded myself playing this game, for around 50 minutes. Here you can see:
- Me trying the introductory stage again.
- Then I tried four times, defeated three god(dess).
As I have a lot of things to do right now, I couldn't continue the gameplay for a while. But it's such a fun game, which makes me keep it installed in my laptop, and I'm definitely gonna try it again later when I have more free time.
Pros
Small size.
The game size is less than 500 MB which is good as it doesn't require a lot of spaces.
Low-End Requirements.
Based on the minimum requirements, it seems like this game could run well on low-end devices which is good too.
Everything is clear, and well-designed.
Music? Good and clear. Graphic? Good. Nothing is bad IMO.
Controlling is good and easily understandable.
As long as you own a joystick controller, then the gameplay will be fun. The character is not hard to control, and every tutorial is easily understandable.
Cons
Die = reset the level?
I acquired this knowledge based on my gameplay above. I am still kinda confused whether this assumption is correct but... Everytime I die, I need to reset everything again from Level 1. Even though I have reached Level 2, it doesn't seem like I could continue my progress from Level 2. Which is kinda... mind boggling? I mean.. What if I reached Level 4 or Level 5? Should I reset everything again from Level 1? That is... mad, right?
Closing
To conclude, I think...
Yeap. As I assumed previously. A joystick controller will change the experience. And it is fun to play if you have one. If you have hours of free time, this game will be fun to play :)
So, my rating (played with a joystick controller) for this game is...
Thank you for reading this post, and see you on another one :)
