Quick Review and Rating
Quick Review
You know tag games or... Capture the Flag? Well, the concept is the same. Here you play as Mr. Chickums, tasked with collecting eggs stolen by the villain — Grabbo. In each round/area, your job is to gather the eggs, throw/place them into the basket, run from or defeat enemies, and that's it.

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The game's mechanics are straightforward. The controls only require walking, jumping, throwing eggs, stomping enemies, and collecting a few items. The only downside is that it can feel a bit... slippery at times. Which can make it a little tricky to control...
|
9.3 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
They use a cartoony art style and... pixel graphics? Honestly not entirely sure about the pixel graphics, but it does look that way... Or maybe it's the CRT effect... Anyway, the art style is modeled after classic arcade or retro console games. The UI and UX are also clean, consistent, and easy to read. Optimization is solid too. The game runs well and smoothly, and is very lightweight. It should run great on low-spec devices as well. |
10 |
|
3. Story & World
Honestly the intro is really short 🤣 If I hadn't read the Steam page, I wouldn't even have remembered there's a character named Grabbo who stole Mr. Chickums's eggs 🤣
|
9 |
|
4. Audio & Music
Since it seems like the developer's goal was to make a game that resembles classic arcade/console games, they also went with audio that fits — kind of 8-bit in style. So the music and SFX are tuned accordingly, like you're playing games on an old arcade machine or retro console.
|
9 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
The game has high replayability, since the areas feel dynamic — the eggs to collect appear at random locations — so you can keep collecting eggs multiple times within each area. So at a full price of 91K IDR — or 78K on sale — it feels fair. Not outrageously expensive, but not dirt cheap either. |
10 |
| TOTAL SCORE | xx |
Conclusion
Interesting. Especially if you're looking for short, casual games to kill some time, without taking up too much of it — competitive, challenging but still do-able, plus with a cartoony art style and that classic arcade/retro console vibe.

Quick Review and Rating
Quick Review
Actually, I had already played the demo 2 years ago and was intrigued. But back then I played it on a low-spec laptop, and unfortunately... yeah. It was heavy. Sadly, on the more capable PC I use now, the problem is more or less the same.
Quick Rating

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The mechanics are simple, fitting the game's tags. You just need to explore, sneak past enemies, kill them if you can — and if you want to — and collect a few items. There are puzzles too, but they don't feel too difficult. The controls are also fairly easy to grasp and not too complicated.
|
9.3 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
The style used in this game is post-apocalyptic, metroidvania, sci-fi, and atmospheric. Very, very dark. So it feels eerie, and maybe even a little scary? But it can't quite be called horror, since there are no jump scares or ghost-type moments. It's just unsettling, because you have to navigate enemies lurking across various locations.
|
8 |
|
3. Story & World
Hmm... Not much story is delivered explicitly in this game. There are a lot of implied undertones though.
|
9 |
|
4. Audio & Music
The audio and music in this game feel just right. The eerie, unsettling atmosphere really comes through... The SFX when fighting enemies also sounds crisp and satisfying, making it feel like you're genuinely inside the game world. |
10 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
Hmm... I think this is the type of game that should be played through once and finished. Not necessarily in one sitting, but probably doesn't need to be replayed just to find all the areas/items.
|
10 |
| TOTAL SCORE | xx |
Conclusion
Interesting, if you're looking for eerie, platformer-based games with metroidvania, sci-fi, and post-apocalyptic themes, but not too difficult to play. I also mentioned LIMBO while playing this on stream, because the atmosphere felt very similar to LIMBO.

Quick Review
Now this one — is a simple, beautiful, and anything-but-ordinary puzzle game.
Quick Rating
| Category & Rating Details | Score |
|---|---|
|
1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The mechanics are simple — just mouse and keyboard, and mostly mouse to complete the game's core mechanic. You just need to mark specific tiles — colors will automatically appear, or you can change them manually — then match them to the shape or requirements of each puzzle.
|
10 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
Hmm, what art style do they use... Surreal for the outdoor areas, and... not sure. Colorful for the puzzles? But everything looks beautiful, so I love it. The UI and UX are also clearly visible and easy to read. The default font is quite... small, but still legible. There's a Larger Text option, though I didn't try it during my playthrough... The game is also well optimized. There's a slight stutter or hiccup when transitioning from the menu into the game world, but it's nothing too demanding. |
9.5 |
|
3. Story & World
Hmm... There's a short intro at the start — a letter of sorts addressed to us as the Artisan. We're simply asked to restore artworks from Glimmith. That's really all there is to the story. No heavy themes, no long preamble — straight to the puzzles. After that, you're free to complete each puzzle however you like.
|
9 |
|
4. Audio & Music
The music feels just right... The audio too. Neither gets in the way while playing, and both support the experience of playing the game. |
10 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
Replayability is, in my opinion, "high." You can replay the puzzles even after you've finished them, and there are a massive number of puzzles offered in this game. At a full price of 115K IDR, or 104K IDR on sale, it feels fair. Not expensive, and not too cheap for the content on offer. |
10 |
| TOTAL SCORE | xx |
Conclusion
Highly interesting. Especially if you're looking for casual puzzle games that are easy on the eyes, not too difficult to play, and can be completed in a short sitting without needing multiple sessions just to finish a puzzle.

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The mechanics are straightforward. Move the claw, grab the items. You can play with a keyboard or gamepad. Not hard at all, though it might be a little confusing at first to figure out what to click or press to control the game.
|
8 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
The art style used in this game is pixel graphics. From a UI and UX standpoint, everything is clearly readable, so nothing is confusing while playing. The optimization is also fine, so it should run smoothly even on low-spec devices...
|
9.3 |
|
3. Story & World
The intro is short, but... it does a decent job of explaining why we need to play this Cupiclaw machine — which wasn't present in the demo. Long story short, Morris — the character we play as — lost his engagement ring somewhere near this Cupiclaw machine. Then the Manager shows up and tells him that if he needs the ring, it's on the top floor of this arcade. So to get up there, you have to play and win each round. That's all there is to it.
|
9 |
|
4. Audio & Music
The audio and music are fine, nothing is distracting, and they support the experience of playing the game. |
9 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
Replayability is definitely high. Very much so. But... personally, I don't have the stamina for heavy grinding, especially since this game has no options to upgrade anything from the main menu. So true to its Roguelike tag, if you die... you die. Nothing carries over to the menu for upgrades. Which makes it... a bit frustrating and discouraging to want to play again. There's also a Roguelite tag, but... I'm not sure that's accurate. Since there's nothing to carry back to the menu to upgrade, it might be a mislabeling.
|
8.5 |
| TOTAL SCORE | xx |
Conclusion
Decent enough, if you're looking for a casual game you can finish quickly without overthinking — though strategy is still required. But... it might not be for everyone, since this game demands a good deal of luck and solid strategy to reach the top floor...

The mechanics are simple — just walk and collect items: ByteCoins, Nodes, and so on. Everything you collect can be used to upgrade your abilities in the game — permanently too — so your experience will feel increasingly engaging.
|
10 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
They use a coding-inspired art style, and the "Fake OS" aesthetic is very much front and center.
Speaking of Fake OS, you can read more about an event called InterfaceX26. In short, there are many games that have launched with a fake OS as their visual interface. To make it cohesive, they organized an event so people could discover games sharing the same theme.
|
9 |

3. Story & World
Hmm... There doesn't seem to be any real story. You just need to hack, which means you have to be clever about evading enemies. That's it...? Seems like it.

9 |

4. Audio & Music
The audio and music are fine. They support the experience of playing the game, though nothing particularly standout — but nothing distracting either. |
9 |

5. Replayability & Value
Honestly I'm not sure whether completed areas can be replayed, but given the "worlds" or "areas" on offer and the sheer number of upgrades to work through, there should be a lot of content here.

Conclusion
Highly interesting. Because where games in the same genre "only let you choose" upgrades per exp level-up, here you have the "freedom" to choose whatever build you want, making each run more exciting and helping you survive against the waves of enemies.

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The Steam page for this game lists the tags Boomer Shooter and Looter Shooter, but in my opinion, this game doesn't always rely on shooting to deal with enemies. Yep, you can use weapons to attack from a distance, but there's also melee for up-close combat. The looting element is still there as tagged though — you can loot items, weapons, blood, and the like in each run. One thing I can't quite figure out... Why do you need to collect coins?
|
7.7 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
This game uses a retro art style reminiscent of early 2000s handheld console games. From the menus to the game world, everything follows the same style. On the flip side, because of this aesthetic, the UI and UX are easy to read and distinguish, making all the information a player needs accessible at a glance. Optimization-wise, the game runs smoothly. The only stutter I noticed was once, right when the game first started, and it didn't last long — maybe about 10 seconds. |
9.6 |
|
3. Story & World
Hmm, a bit unsure... But this is my read. The character in this game — a woman — is locked up in a psychiatric hospital, and at night, we fight monsters inside our nightmares. You have to survive, and if you lose, you wake back up in the real world, in your room. Even if you win, you can "keep" one weapon and then return to your room as well. Each run also has secrets you can find. There also seems to be some kind of ritual, but... I still don't fully understand what it's for...
|
9 |
|
4. Audio & Music
The audio and music are fine. Nothing is distracting — the SFX when slashing enemies lands well, the music during intense enemy encounters is solid, and the quieter ambient music works just as well. |
9 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
For replayability... I'm not sure. It feels like this game is linear. So you complete one area and move on to the next. That might mean replayability isn't particularly high.

7.5 |

Conclusion
Pretty interesting. Might be a good fit if you're looking for a fast-paced looter shooter exploration game with retro graphics and a few secrets to uncover.

It's actually not hard — you just need to walk, and in some corridors you can only go in one direction anyway, so no back-and-forth. But there are also a looooot of movement types that I honestly couldn't quite figure out how to use properly... The thing is...

2. Visuals & Aesthetics
They use a cyberpunk style in this game — that modern aesthetic kind of vibe. So the UI, UX, graphics, everything follows the same theme. Optimization-wise it's fine too — runs well and isn't demanding. The only issue... There was a bug at the end of one of the early levels, and I had to go back to the main menu just to redo it... And that was still in the tutorial... |
8.5 |

3. Story & World
Honestly I don't remember there being much of a story... So I can't comment much further. But in terms of pacing, it's not actually that long. It's just that because it's unnecessarily complex as I mentioned, it ends up feeling like it drags on forever. |
8 |

4. Audio & Music
The music and SFX are fine on their own. Nothing distracting, and they support the experience. The only issue is that right when you launch the game, you can't do anything until you reach the settings page, and the audio is extremely loud...

5. Replayability & Value
Hmm, I'm not sure about replayability, since you progress through one level to the next. The price is 165K IDR at full price, and 140K IDR on sale. That's... quite expensive. So... maybe worth a try, if you want to — at the discounted price. |

About a year ago, I played the demo of this game, and it felt "solid." So even without having the key yet, it seemed like it was going to be a good game... So when I looked at the Steam page and saw that the All Reviews were Mixed... I was a bit puzzled. Why?

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The mechanics are straightforward. Since the genre is point and click and 3D, you just need to click-click-click-click for interactions, moving around, and so on. Not hard. If you're familiar with Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy (1999) or its remake, Amerzone - The Explorer's Legacy, the concept is exactly the same. So you really mostly just need the mouse to control the game.
|
9.6 |
|
2. Visuals & Aesthetics
They use a realistic art style, so everything looks "real" and authentic. During cutscenes, there are also 3D models of Tesla and several other characters in the game. The UI and UX take on a more modern design. Despite that, everything is still clearly readable without any issues. |
10 |
|
3. Story & World
I've only played about an hour, so I can't give a full breakdown yet. But from what I've seen, the story centers on Tesla, his desire to "transmit electricity wirelessly," his conflict with J. P. Morgan, and... that's as far as I've gotten. Ehe. So far the story is easy to follow, so it stays engaging. |
10 |
|
4. Audio & Music
The audio and music are fine... They support the experience of playing the game, keeping it enjoyable as you work through the puzzles. Certain cutscenes and sections also feature voice acting to narrate the story, which makes it all the more engaging to play. |
10 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
This is the type of game that's best played through once, without the need to replay. And honestly, I think that's the right call. I don't recall there being any collectibles or secrets to hunt for, so there's nothing that would necessitate a repeat playthrough. The story also seems to be linear with no branching paths...
|
8.5 |

Interesting, if you enjoy point and click, investigative, mystery, and narrative genres. Plus you'll be treated to 3D graphics, voice acting to narrate the story, and writing that's short but easy to follow.

I'd seen the trailer for this game pop up on Twitter a few times. But lately, with financial stress weighing on my mind... a lot of free time has been going toward sleep, so I hadn't gotten around to playing many demos, including this one. Fortunately I received the full version, so I got to play it on stream, which gives clearer audience numbers... Plus my audience was surprisingly active in giving hints about what to combine during the stream, which made it even more fun... And very helpful, since I had no idea what combinations were right...

2. Visuals & Aesthetics

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
They recommend playing this game with a gamepad/controller, and it's a blast! Though I can't say what the experience is like with mouse and keyboard. But anyway, the game is fun. The parry feels satisfying and responsive, attacking enemies is enjoyable, and the camera doesn't cause any disorientation, so the overall experience feels great. Also, since this game blends in the Bullet Hell genre, you also have to attack and dodge enemies at range. So it's not just a sword for melee — Ann also assists by shooting enemies that have shields.
|

2. Visuals & Aesthetics
They use an "Anime" art style — similar to Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. Flashy, colorful, and likely doesn't require the heavy rendering of something like Unreal Engine (?), so it feels lighter to run. But it still looks beautiful and is enjoyable to play...

Hee... Honestly not sure how to describe this one. But from my understanding, we play as Homura Hime, accompanied by Ann. Our job is to eradicate or exorcise evil before it can be purified. That's it. I've only finished one area so far, so... that's all I can share.

4. Audio & Music
This section is very enjoyable, hehe. The audio, music, and voice acting in this game are absolutely a treat for the ears. The sound of the sword during a parry, the music during exploration or combat, the voice acting from the various characters... It's all exciting and satisfying. |

I played this game with a gamepad/controller. And... it's fun. Not disorienting, easy to play and understand. The gameplay is simple — and even though strategy is involved, it's not that difficult. It's like playing chess, but you're just pushing frogs around. Not hard to get your head around at all. Seriously.

Art style-wise, they use a "Cartoony" style, just like their previous game. Easy on the eyes — like watching a cartoon on TV. UI and UX wise, both the dialogue bubbles, menu text, and everything else are easy to read and understand. The only downside is that some text feels a bit small in the UI... The game is also well optimized, so low-spec devices should be able to run it without any issues. |

The audio and music are fine... The only downside is that the music volume sometimes feels too loud? And even when turned down, it still seems loud. Not sure why...

5. Replayability & Value
This is not the type of game that needs to be replayed, in my opinion — playing through it once feels like enough. So replayability is probably on the lower end.

Conclusion
Highly interesting. For those of you who enjoy cartoon-style games that are comedic, strategy-based, fully narrated, lighthearted, and easy to follow — you should find this game just as appealing.

Quick Review and Rating
Quick Review
This game... I was supposed to play it on stream, but unfortunately, when I first tested offline whether it would be demanding or not, it was. Heavy. Even when recording offline, it was still demanding. So... I ended up not playing it on stream, and just recorded it offline instead...

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
Hmm... The mechanics of this game can't really be called "simple." They look simple, but there are a LOT of tutorials. And somehow it can be considered complex. While playing, I personally didn't use all the movements shown in the tutorials — just a few. And of all those tutorials, I skipped one because it was too difficult to complete.

2. Visuals & Aesthetics
I... used mostly medium settings, with FSR Balanced. It's enjoyable, and feels sufficient. Not as crisp and detailed as it would be without FSR, but still pleasant to look at.

3. Story & World
In this game, you play the role of a cyclist, and your coach is Matt Jones himself. Throughout the tutorials, you'll be taught how to ride a racing bike correctly, how to pull off various tricks, and so on. Not hard to follow at all. |

4. Audio & Music
The audio, music, and voice acting/narration are all solid. The SFX and ambience feel just right... The music is also enjoyable — like actually listening to a radio — and Matt Jones's narration comes through clearly. It genuinely sounds like hearing someone over a Walkie Talkie. |

5. Replayability & Value
Like I said. If you enjoy exploration and don't mind setting aside the missions, replayability will be high — since you're free to do whatever you want in this game. Like being given the freedom to explore endless hills, without having to think about how to pay tomorrow's bills, debts, food, water, and sleep.

Conclusion
Interesting. As long as you're not too fixated on the missions. Well... you can focus on the missions, I'm not stopping you. But if you're looking for a game to just unwind... explore... virtually roam the hillsides... this game should be a genuinely enjoyable audio-visual experience...

This is one of several demos I tried playing over the past few weeks... While dealing with financial stress like I am right now... Would it be fun?

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
The mechanics are straightforward. The controls really just require walking... By walking, you can attack enemies, push items, collect items, and so on. Literally, just walking makes progress. Because of that, it's easy to understand and enjoyable to get into.

2. Visuals & Aesthetics
This game uses a Cartoony art style, and the text seems to be in Calibri. Does it look bad? No. It's actually easy to read and doesn't seem heavy to render. So the game runs nice and smoothly without any performance issues.

3. Story & World
You — the main character, the Demon Lord — have died, and are now reborn. |

4. Audio & Music
The audio and music are fine. No voice acting unfortunately. But from an audio and music standpoint, it does enough to entertain the player's ears... |

5. Replayability & Value
Replayability is high. You can play it multiple times if you want, and if you die, you can use the "Soul" or "Coins" you've collected to upgrade your abilities in the kingdom.

Pretty fun. For a casual roguelike action-adventure game, this one is enjoyable. Hopefully when the full version launches it'll be just as good...

Another demo I played while my mind has been preoccupied with financial stress like it has been lately... Cat-themed, with puzzle elements... Would it be fun?

1. Mechanics & Gameplay
This is a point and click + hidden object + puzzle game. Except... rather than the typical 2D flat image format, here you actively explore every area, corner, and path to find the cats and items you're asked to locate. The game might remind people of Viewfinder, since the mechanic is similar. The game loop is also short — not too long, as long as you can complete the quests quickly. Not difficult either, though some items are genuinely well hidden, given that the game's color palette is mostly black and white. One note — I didn't play the demo for long, since I was very hungry, and first-person games like this can trigger motion sickness, so to avoid feeling nauseous I stopped my gameplay around the 28-minute mark. |

2. Visuals & Aesthetics
As mentioned above, the game's color palette is mostly black and white. Probably to make the items you're looking for stand out more easily. As for the art style, they use a stylized approach — possibly mixed with surreal elements? Because the UI and items are arranged as if we've come from the future into the past, yet with modern technology reflecting the present era. Optimization is also great. FPS is stable, and CPU, GPU, vRAM, and RAM are all stable. |

3. Story & World
Honestly I don't remember whether there was an intro story or not, or how we ended up in this world. But you'll be playing a character guided by a panel on the left side of the screen, as well as the in-game journal. There's plenty of info — quests, items you've collected, settings, and so on. |
8 |
|
4. Audio & Music
Audio and music are fine. Nothing felt distracting while I was playing. Though this game is very... quiet, aside from the sound of cats. |
9 |
|
5. Replayability & Value
Hmm... This feels like the type of game that's best done once. Once you've found all the items, you're done. No need to replay the quests. You could go back for 100% completion since there's no penalty system, but I'd personally just play it through once. As for the price, I can't comment yet since it's still in demo at this point. |

Conclusion
Interesting, if you're looking for a point and click + hidden object + puzzle game with a first-person perspective. Oh, and if you enjoy Viewfinder, you might like this one too, since the mechanic is the same.
